As a Director, you will join us right at the beginning of our journey, as we pursue a radical change programme to combine the resources of our organisations so that we can achieve more together for our communities. To be a success in this role you’ll possess a professional, academic or management qualification or relevant professional experience, as well as evidence of sustained personal and professional development, with a successful track record at a senior management level of achieving improved key priority outcomes.

It is essential that you have a good understanding of the legal, financial, and political workings of local government, and be ready to use current best practice to tackle a wide range of challenges. You will work collaboratively with the senior leadership teams across both Councils to ensure we reach our full potential.

Reporting to the Strategic Director, you’ll provide expert Assets and Investment Services, working very closely with other divisions and our finance, legal and commissioning services to achieve the perfect balance between quality and value. You will drive investment and delivery strategy for new acquisitions as well as source and transform investment opportunities.

You will have significant post qualification experience gained in the public, private or voluntary sector, including experience of operating at Leadership Team level, working collaboratively to deliver the strategic commitments of both Council’s.
